Mikayla Avery is approved to provide the following services utilizing OPDC funding:
Mental Health assessments for criminal cases
Reunification Evaluations on Dependency Cases – My child welfare reunification evaluations examine the factors affecting a family’s ability to safely reunify, including parental capacities, parent–child relationships, the concerns that led to removal, and progress toward addressing those concerns. Using a trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and family-systems approach, I integrate interviews, observations, relevant records, and collateral information to assess family strengths, unresolved safety concerns, parent-child attachment, parenting practices, and service needs. Particular attention is given to whether services are accessible, individualized, and responsive to disability, neurodivergence, trauma, and the family’s circumstances. My evaluations provide recommendations regarding the potential for reunification, necessary services and accommodations, and supports that may help parents safely care for their children and sustain reunification.
Work Product review: Expert review and report on records within child welfare, mental health, psychological evaluations.
