Avery Hullheart, LLC will provide therapeutic visitation support, designed to facilitate healthy attachment, address underlying emotional wounds, and improve the parent-child relationship. The purpose of these enhanced visits is to support attachment and healing, with the ultimate goal of decreasing the need for therapeutic visits over time.
Differences from Regular Supervised Visits
The therapeutic visitation process differs significantly from regular supervised visits. In a therapeutic visit, a licensed therapist will be present to actively guide, intervene, and provide support. This structured, intervention-focused approach is aimed at helping both the parent and child navigate challenges, enhance bonding, and improve overall family dynamics. The Therapist will have authority over location, time, and ability to end visitation early if needed based on the child(ren)'s needs. Visiting parent will participate in ongoing feedback sessions with the therapist to develop enhanced skills to meet the need of the child(ren).
Role and Authority of the Therapist
The therapist present during the visit has the professional right to be directive when necessary to maintain a therapeutic environment and ensure the safety and well-being of all parties involved. The therapist may intervene or provide feedback during the session to promote progress in attachment and healing. It is important for the Client to understand that this level of intervention is integral to the success of the therapeutic process.
Special Consideration
Enhanced Therapeutic visitation support is not designed to be family therapy or meet requirements for family therapy. While therapeutic interventions occur, family therapy involves many additional components that are not provided in this service.
